Sail Commons

FAQ

Short answers about how Sail Commons works. For the longer version see About and What this is.

What is Sail Commons?

Sail Commons is an open source approach to sailing knowledge for young people learning to sail, the people teaching them, and adults coming back to the sport. Every article links to its named sources.

Who is it for?

Teens learning to sail, parents and coaches supporting them, and returners who want clear, sourced sailing news without club jargon.

What regions do you cover?

Canada first, with North American sailing news when it affects the same fleets, classes, or coaching paths. Each story says which jurisdiction or programme it refers to.

What is the newsletter?

A free email digest of the edition. Sign up at /newsletter/. Every item links back to the full story on sailcommons.com.

How do you use AI?

Software helps sort sources and check drafts. A human editor still decides what publishes. Unchecked machine output does not go live.

How do I report an error?

Write to hello@sailcommons.com with the page URL and what you believe is wrong. Corrections are handled in public when we get something wrong.
